Sweet summertime is almost upon us! As a lover of bright colours, summer is one of my favorite seasons because it lends itself to vibrant colours galore. If you’re planning a summer wedding, the colour options are endless, but I wanted to invite you to check out some of my favorites as a London-based urban wedding planner.
1. Living Coral, Teal, & Cream
I couldn’t talk about stylish summer colours without mentioning Pantone’s Colour of the Year (and a favourite of mine) ‘Living Coral.’ Everyone is loving this energetic orange-red hue that pairs well with all shades of teal. It also looks great with cream or ivory, which makes it the perfect accent for a playful summer wedding.
2. Shades of Dusty Blue, Ivory and Greenery
For a classic look, these cool shades feel like a breath of fresh air and look especially lovely in an outdoor setting.
3. Red, Blush, & Greenery
Don’t worry, Greenery is still massive this year. Pair it with some vibrant shades of red, you will really make a striking statement.
4. Pink, Orange, & Yellow
These shades are summertime staples. I always imagine sipping a cool glass of pink lemonade with a tart lemon wedge on the side. Citrus colours will make your wedding day seem crisp, fresh, and sunny.
5. Vibrant Jewel Tones with Orange Accents
If you’re as in love with colour as I am, this one is for you. Think: Bright indigo, perky magenta, azure blue, and deep teal paired with pops of peach and light orange coloured. Beautiful! This one lends itself to some fun bridesmaids’ dresses, too!
6. Blush, Ivory, & Shimmer
For those of you looking for something a little more subdued and elegant yet with a summery touch, this colour combo looks gorgeous. With a little metallic shimmer and some soft greenery like eucalyptus leaves, your wedding will tastefully reflect a sweet summertime glow.
