We were so happy to be a part of this beautiful wedding that took place in January at Hampton Court House, which is 40 minutes from the centre of London. The ceremony was held in the stunning main hall with views overlooking Bushy Park. Set in eight acres of magical 18th century garden the venue itself is so stunningly beautiful, it didn’t need much to really complete the look and make it the perfect setting for this incredible wedding.
Yolanda and Drew met at university, they are seriously perfect for each other and it was more and more obvious as the day went on. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our 2020 Wedding Season!
This entire wedding had some serious style, and we aren’t just talking about the design and decor! The guys rocked blue suits while the girls looked gorgeous in their emerald green outfits. And the bride and groom you ask? They looked so stylish in their custom-made dress and suit.
After the ceremony took place, guests moved outside to the lush front garden to take group snaps featuring bubble guns (yep guns). During this time, the ceremony area was flipped and turned into a cosy space with log fires and leather sofas for the drinks reception. Guests snacked on canapés and enjoyed refreshing drinks during this time.
Before guests sat down for a pie and mash meal, they had a little fun with the clever movie themed seating chart Yolanda and Drew created. First, guests had to locate their escort cards, which had their name and a quote from a famous movie, written on the back. Guests then had to workout the film, and find the table which had the film's DVD case as the table number. We love this detail, it was just the right touch to really highlight the bride and groom's love of films.
Fairy Nuff, who was the florist for the wedding, did a beautiful job of really pulling in the couple’s vision by incorporating greenery and white flowers into the asymmetric foliage and flower columns and the bride's arrangement. The bride’s main request for the design of her wedding was to compliment the scenery of the venue with out overpowering it.
Yolanda and Drew had a really fun group of guests, majority of them were younger and were friends of theirs that travelled from all over. Because of the age demographic of their guests, they knew they wanted a fun celebration with a captivating brass band and lively DJ. To the guest's joy at 9pm Dough & Deer arrived in their Land Rover pizza van providing the perfect mid-dancing snack! Check out the beautiful images, described above, captured by The Chamberlins:
