Nidhi + Graham chose The Elvetham Hotel Wedding venue very well, it is stunning! Both their traditional Hindu ceremony and reception took place on the hotel's spacious grounds. The hotel's event rooms could not house Nidhi and Graham's 200 plus guests, so the ceremeony took place in the Formal Gardens, and a marquee was erected for their evening meal. We created an area (that I liked to call the 'FUN ZONE') in the larger gardens for the cocktail hour.
Nidhi wore a dazzling sari and Graham looked very dapper in traditional Indian attire. There were so many little touches that brought both heritages together… A Piper and Dhol player lead Graham and his family procession (Baraat), Nidhi’s family from India homemade all the sweet favours, and Graham's bestman Craig wore a kilt. The colours and theme for their wedding day were orange and pink, so bold and fun!
The cocktail hour was no normal cocktail hour! Guests were treated to 2 hours of amusement, they got to ride the dodgems and play ping pong, while snacking on mini fish & chips and Indian delights cooked fresh on a food station, as well as Premium Artisan Rolled Ice Cream and sweets from the sweet cart.
Dinner kicked off with family service of mains including Lamb saag, Chicken karahi, veg kofta, naans, salads and so much more! After dinner came an assortment of sweets laid out on a large dessert table with Coconut brulee, Gulab jamun (milk-solid-based sweet), brownies and 4 different cakes made by Nidhi's good friend, Leena.
Nidhi + Graham opened the dance floor with their fist dance, and then the DJ played a range of music from Bhangra to the more catchy R&B, guests were constantly up on their feet, making this one of the most lively weddings I have ever planned.
Kind words from Nidhi + Graham
"I hired Cherelle about 3 weeks before my wedding, in a complete panic as we realised our caterer was no longer willing/able to manage our event. Needless to say I was STRESSED out!
What can I say, Cherelle is basically superwoman. I don’t know how she did it but she managed everything from start to finish, bearing in mind this was a dry hire venue with no staff, dodgems and a marquee that needed to be built, a couple of really challenging suppliers and a ceremony that was completely outdoors (with no back up plan)- this was no mean feat.
She is also an absolute pleasure to work with, professional, pragmatic and kind. She will try her very best to make your vision come true and I would recommend her to anyone in heartbeat."
So, from the luxury of your seat, enjoy!! And many congratulations to Nidhi + Graham!
Thank you to Nick at Nick Tucker Photography for capturing the whole thing beautifully.
