Rachel and Martin always knew that the focus of their big day was great food and getting everyone on the dance floor.
Queen's House was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony with its stunning views towards the River Thames and the Old Royal Naval College. The centrepiece of the Queen’s House is the Great Hall, it's perfect cube in shape, the hall sits at the heart of the building and has a first-floor gallery overlooking a striking black-and-white marble floor.
Post ceremony dinner and dancing awaited guests at the Cutty Sark. Only the couple and a few close friends knew that we were leaving the Queen's House and moving to the ship for the reception. Guests were invited to explore the three decks of the ship, starting with drinks and canapés overlooking the Thames.
The fun London Underground seating plan let all their ‘favourite people’ know they were in for a treat! Beef, oyster and roast garlic pie was on the menu with pudding and cheese stations for dessert. Let's not forget about the exceptional cake! The 2 tiered floral wedding cake was flavoured with spiced carrot & roasted peach and whole lemon, topped with moulded wafer paper, it was delicious.
Styling was focussed around a palette of nudes and neutrals, with pops of colour in the wedding stationery and coloured glassware.
Thank you Rachel and Martin for being such a consistent joy to work with, I loved seeing your excitement and love in every meeting and interaction we had.
